The investigative and probative activity implies the implementation of appropriate investigative techniques to achieve effective criminal justice, in this sense, the course has been created with the purpose of contributing to the strengthening of knowledge, skills and abilities, with respect to the different methodological forms that can be applied in the planning of the investigation, based on the different techniques and forensic sciences.

In this context, investigations, in addition to legal rigor, must have optimal investigative, technical and scientific support, which implies carrying out quality work, with professionalism, allowing any investigation to be adequately addressed under current regulations in Panama, as well as international standards. .

Identify research planning techniques, to carry out rigorous analysis, in order to develop effective comprehensive investigations in the exercise of their professional activities.

Apply the different investigative procedures, for the clarification of any criminal act.

  • Identify strategies for planning and developing research activities.
  • Know the steps that must be followed, once informed of the occurrence of a criminal act.
  • Comprehensively apply each of the elements that are part of the theory of the case.
  • Identify the importance of the different methods that can be applied in the planning and development of research.

Legal medicine, National Police, General Directorate of Revenue, Public Ministry, individual experts, National Border Service (SENAFRONT), Aeronaval Service (SENAN), Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ), Lawyers.

To participate in the course, it is recommended that the participant have basic knowledge of Panamanian criminal law, in relation to procedures, planning and investigative development.

Taking into account that the course will be held virtually, the following are important
aspects:

  • Computer knowledge at the user level in videoconferencing tools such as Meet, Teams.
  • Management of office package tools such as Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Have your own email account and consult it regularly.
  • Read the guides for participation in the different activities.

The course in Techniques for Effective Research Planning is designed 100% online, which has been designed and built so that the participants (students, professors, supervisors) can interact permanently and easily, which allows the appropriation and knowledge construction.

The course has an intensity of 100 hours that will be carried out during a period of four (04) months, in which self-learning activities, collaborative work and synchronous sessions will be developed twice a week, with a duration of two hours. The schedule of the program is set out below:

This course will be developed by two teachers, Professionals, technicians in the criminalistics areas, with certified experience in the field and training in technological tools for teaching.

The evaluation of the course is framed within a continuous evaluation of learning, where the participants, through the development of the proposed activities (workshops, questionnaires, forums, among others), can show the development of the expected results. The learning activities that are proposed to the students will be accompanied by feedback from the tutor, in order to achieve the proposed objectives.
