Cecilia Rojas de Nieto Prize
The Cecilia Rojas de Nieto Prize represents an institutional event that, year after year, recognizes and empowers women from UMECIT who inspire with their work, resilience, and leadership. This tribute has become a long-awaited commemoration every March, reinforcing the university's mission to promote a real and lasting equalityIt is an activity that recognizes the women of UMECIT and also provides external recognition.
Health Fair
UMECIT
UMECIT carries out its Health Fair as a comprehensive action of social connection and well-being, combining the promotion of healthy habits, free medical care, recreational activities, and solidarity with vulnerable populations in multiple provinces. It demonstrates the university's strong commitment to the community.
FANLYC Relay for Life
UMECIT is deeply involved in the FANLYC Race (Relay) for Life, contributing not only with funds per lap, but also with strong logistical and human support. This demonstrates its approach to social commitment and university extension, emphasized in its motivational motto and annual sponsorships.
Environmental conservation
At UMECIT we encourage the active participation of our students in activities such as:
- Environmental education for teachers and volunteers
- Community river and beach clean-up days
- Promoting recycling: waste separation, creative reuse, collection points.
