Flag Football

We have male and female Flag Football at the University. This sport allows the Umecit's community, from extracurricular participation, to generate healthy lifestyles, relying on physical and mental well-being, contributing to academic and professional development.
Being part of the Flag Football team will give you the opportunity to compete in university tournaments organized by the Panamanian University Sports Association (ADEUPA), Eastern American Football League (LIFAE), Panamanian Flag Football League (LFFP), among other national and international competitions.

Requirements to participate

  • Be a student, administrator or teacher at UMECIT
  • Have an updated and active accident policy (Applies only to students)
  • Administrative and teaching staff (must sign liability release document)
  • Be registered and attend training defined by location and discipline.

Meet the coaches

by Flag Football

Dante Antonio Leone Rovira

Coach of the Panama Headquarters. He is an experienced flag football and contact football coach, active since 2014 and 2015 respectively. He has been part of the Black Tigers FFT coaching staff in Panama from 2015 to 2023 and has continuous certifications from American Youth Football and the American Football Association. Her career stands out for her participation in multiple tournaments and leagues, achieving outstanding positions in various categories and ages, both men and women, reflecting her ability to guide teams to success in national and international competitions.
