Likewise, they have the right to the confidentiality and privacy of their personal information, in accordance with applicable laws and policies.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students also have the right to receive feedback and fair evaluation of their academic performance, as well as to access appeal mechanisms in case of disagreement with grades or academic decisions.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, they have the right to freedom of association and participation in student organizations, as long as these activities are carried out in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the University.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is important to bear in mind that these rights must be exercised responsibly and respecting the rights and freedoms of other members of the university community.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the other hand, you also have duties, some of them: comply with the Student Regulations, respect the university community, maintain the dignity and ethics of the institution, respect the free expression of ideas, comply with university regulations, comply with financial obligations , know and be informed of their academic status, demonstrate good conduct, participate in scheduled activities, attend classes, conserve university resources, take care of personal belongings, refrain from drug use, respect restricted areas, present themselves appropriately, not wear sunglasses sun or caps on campus, silence cell phones, not eat or drink in classrooms, avoid violence and inappropriate language, perform honest work, notify withdrawals, pay group insurance (for residents of Panama), use ICT and virtual platforms, comply with preparatory courses, not carrying weapons, being attentive to official communication from the university and attending orientation for new students.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To know the internal regulations of the University and the Duties and Rights you can consult them at:\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/umecit.edu.pa\/en\/programa-de-bienestar\/academico\/\">https:\/\/umecit.edu.pa\/programa-de-bienestar\/academico\/<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- delivered the Adjusted Institutional Improvement Plan<\/p>","protected":false},"author":695,"featured_media":86209,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[72,73,67,174],"tags":[110,151],"class_list":["post-86207","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bienestar-universitario","category-educacion","category-eventos","category-universidad","tag-bienestar-universitario","tag-noticias"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 -
