Throughout three days and with the accompaniment of more than thirty
exhibitors both national and international, versed in the areas of
criminal law, criminology and forensic sciences took place on V
Congress New Trends in Criminal Law and Criminalistics, where
more than 485 participants learned about new trends and models,
both Criminal Law and Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences,
since with the passage of time criminal activity creates techniques
innovations such as the use of technology or the mere creativity of the
delinquent, always pretending to go beyond what the framework
criminal law has managed to foresee and forensic techniques have managed to
identify.<\/p>

At the installation of the event, the rector of our House of Studies, Jos\u00e9
Alberto Nieto Rojas, explained the importance of maintaining a culture of
research and that each student has it as part of life.
\u201cThe mission of the University is to have an education relevant to the
vertiginous changes that are taking place and for this reason lies the importance
to have an extension department where we are updated,
where students can achieve the skills required
in a changing world,\u201d said Nieto Rojas.
Within the framework of the event, several work tables were held with different
experts, who throughout three days had the opportunity to discuss
with students the new trends in criminal law.
Among the main working groups was the one made up of the
speakers Khumar Villalibos, Dagoberto Castillo and Yamileth Batista, where
whose thematic axis was Criminal Procedure Law.<\/p>

Another of the work tables was carried out with the thematic axis, the
Public Ministry and its role in Panamanian Criminal Law, with the
participation of the renowned jurist Juan Kuan and the Prosecutor Patricia Bedoya
as a representative by agreement with the Public Ministry.<\/p>

Also, within the framework of the V Congress New Trends in Law and
Criminalistics research students, both Law and
Social Work, had an important space to show and
exhibit their various projects.
With the purpose of innovating in the V Congress, the
UMECIT radio program: CATHEDRA, on the thematic axis The Theory
General Crime, with emphasis on legitimate defense.
The first day ended with the international table that he led, from
Panama, Professor Khumar Villalobos and who was invited by
agreement with Professor Roc\u00edo De Guadalupe Mart\u00ednez Ruiz, from the
University of Morelia from Mexico, who addressed the reality
Latin American Criminal Law.
The pleasant conversation in the program occurred with the presentation of Oziel
Torres and Professor Ogami Rivera Cano as moderator, along with
panelists of the stature of the Former Director of the National Police Jorge Miranda;
the National Director of Legal Advice of the National Police and the student
of Criminalistics Dr. Ronald Hurley Noville and Captain Legal Adviser
Carlos Gonzalez.
On the second day of the V Congress New Trends in Law
Penal and Criminalistics began with lectures by Professor Francisco
Wellington and Professor Lizbeth Gonz\u00e1lez who addressed issues
related to investigations that are being carried out in conjunction with our
House of Studies and the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences.
An interesting panel debate was also held on the
importance of medicine in judicial processes with the participation
by Dr. Michelle Rangel and Dr. Ronald Martin Hurley Noville.
Another of the most applauded presentations was that of Professor Alexie Brenes,
who disseminated the research being carried out for
UMECIT called: "Mesa on the Latin American News of the
Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences\u201d.
On the second day of the event there was also a large table
international group made up of professors Irvin Castro and Mario Brathwaite
of Panama, and forensic experts, Dr. Jes\u00fas Rafael Vergara Padilla of
Colombia and from Mexico the experts Jos\u00e9 Luis P\u00e9rez Castro and Ricardo<\/p>

P\u00e9rez Castro, who developed the topic on current
Latin American Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences.
As a final part of the Congress, a theoretical-practical workshop was developed
from the International Bilingual Institute (IBI), on the management of the place of
the facts, with Professor Mario Miguel Brathwaite as a facilitator.
This great event occurred as part of the fulfillment of the functions
substantive aspects of the academy such as teaching, extension and research,
providing both the academic community and the external public with a
event that met high quality standards.
The final workshop of the V New Trends in Criminal Law Congress featured
with the participation of 115 students. UMECIT thanks all the
speakers and the more than 400 students who participated in this great
event, making possible the transfer of knowledge from the
substantive functions of teaching, research, extension and management.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
