Its participation in this important forum responds to the need to promote the updating and coordination of national strategies that allow for a comprehensive approach to the challenges related to illicit substance use, drug trafficking, and other associated phenomena.<\/p><p>During the day, representatives from various sectors exchanged knowledge and experiences on current public policies, highlighting the importance of inter-institutional cooperation to strengthen prevention, care and control mechanisms.<\/p><p>From academia, UMECIT promotes actions that contribute to linking scientific knowledge with the formulation and execution of public policies aimed at social welfare, citizen security and the sustainable development of the country.<\/p><p>With this participation, the University reaffirms its role as an agent of social transformation, promoting initiatives that favor the construction of sustainable solutions and the strengthening of a regulatory framework that
