Among those in attendance were the community representative, Concepci\u00f3n Santos, and the mayor of the Las Palmas district, Ezequiel Rodr\u00edguez.<\/p><p>During the presentation, the research professor outlined the main findings of the study, highlighting the environmental effects associated with the extraction of stone material from the Lovaina River. Among the identified impacts are the alteration and erosion of the riverbed, sedimentation processes, increased turbidity and deterioration of water quality, as well as damage to aquatic and riparian habitats, affecting both flora and fauna and soil conditions in the area.<\/p><p>The event not only allowed for the sharing of scientific evidence with the community, but also opened spaces for reflection on the importance of protecting natural resources and promoting sustainable practices that minimize the environmental impact in rural areas.<\/p><p>This activity highlights one of the fundamental processes of scientific research: the dissemination of results.
