On February 24, students from the Psychology program at UMECIT conducted an academic tour in the Antiguo Magaly Ruiz sector in La Chorrera, where they developed a Comprehensive Psychoeducational Workshop aimed at adolescents between 12 and 16 years old.<\/p>

The intervention aimed to provide tools in emotional regulation, healthy interpersonal relationships and study methods, promoting the integral well-being of the participants and their adequate adaptation to the beginning of the academic period.<\/p>

The activity arose after the identification of needs related to difficulties in emotional management, frequent interpersonal conflicts and scarce academic organization strategies in the adolescent population of the sector.<\/p>

The workshop was structured around three fundamental axes:<\/p>

Emotional regulation:<\/b>
<\/b> The workshop addressed the recognition and understanding of emotions, differentiating between emotion, thought, and behavior. Basic self-regulation techniques such as mindful breathing and reflective pausing were also taught.<\/p>

Healthy interpersonal relationships:<\/b>
<\/b> Skills such as assertive communication, empathy, respect, and peaceful conflict resolution were strengthened through participatory and reflective activities.<\/p>

Study methods:<\/b>
<\/b> Practical strategies for planning, time management, and establishing healthy academic habits were shared.<\/p>

The methodology implemented was active and participatory, promoting meaningful learning and critical reflection. As a result, a receptive and engaged attitude was evident among the adolescents, as well as the strengthening of the practical skills of the participating university students.<\/p>

The academic tour was developed by Psychology students with the support of the University Professor and Coordinator of the Psychological Clinic, in conjunction with the Gender Department of the Mayor's Office of La Chorrera.<\/p>

With these types of initiatives, UMECIT reaffirms its commitment to comprehensive education and university social responsibility, positively impacting communities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
