{"id":131037,"date":"2025-12-26T11:36:46","date_gmt":"2025-12-26T16:36:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/umecit.edu.pa\/?p=131037"},"modified":"2025-12-26T12:21:34","modified_gmt":"2025-12-26T17:21:34","slug":"umecit-participo-activamente-en-el-desfile-de-navidad-del-distrito-de-la-chorrera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umecit.edu.pa\/en\/umecit-participo-activamente-en-el-desfile-de-navidad-del-distrito-de-la-chorrera\/","title":{"rendered":"UMECIT actively participated in the Christmas Parade in the district of La Chorrera"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"131037\" class=\"elementor elementor-131037\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-22b206f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default row-top\" data-id=\"22b206f\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-e26aeec column-style-top\" data-id=\"e26aeec\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-bb9eae8 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default row-top\" data-id=\"bb9eae8\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-75e0061 column-style-top\" data-id=\"75e0061\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7ef8c36 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7ef8c36\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UMECIT La Chorrera campus actively participated in the La Chorrera district Christmas Parade, becoming the only university to take part in this important community activity, which brought together children, young people, students, teachers and the general public.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The parade began at 5:30 pm, and the UMECIT delegation concluded its participation at approximately 8:45 pm, demonstrating throughout the route a high level of commitment, enthusiasm and sense of institutional belonging, strengthening the Christmas spirit and the social integration of the district.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This participation was developed within the framework of the \u201cHands that Transform\u201d Project, a volunteer initiative of UMECIT, organized by the Extension Coordination, directed by Mr. Alexis Del Cid, with the collaboration of the Campus Coordinator, Mr. Ernesto Mart\u00ednez, and the support of the Vice-Rectorate of Institutional Projects, led by Mr. Santiago Nieto Rueda.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The UMECIT delegation was made up of teachers, administrative staff, students and the general public, who with their presence reaffirmed the university&#039;s vocation of service and social commitment to the Chorrera community.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UMECIT&#039;s participation in these types of events highlights the importance of strengthening ties with the community and with the Mayor&#039;s Office of La Chorrera, an institution with which the university maintains a current agreement, promoting joint work, social projection and the integral development of the district.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a highlight of the parade, UMECIT&#039;s Christmas float was created through a collaborative effort between UMECIT and CiniLab, combining creativity, innovation, and Christmas spirit. This project reflected values such as unity, hope, and the celebration of Christmas, and was widely praised and enthusiastically received by the community.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With this participation, UMECIT reaffirms its commitment to university social responsibility, the comprehensive education of its students, and its active presence in initiatives that promote
