The Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT) successfully celebrated, last Saturday, November 22nd, the <\/span>XXIII Student Research Conference<\/span> at the headquarters of <\/span>La Chorrera<\/span>, a space that brought together groups of students from the careers of General Psychology, Marketing and Advertising, Criminalistics, Law, Medical Records and Health Statistics, and Maritime and Port Administration.<\/span><\/p>

During the day, participants presented research aimed at providing real solutions to community problems, strengthening their analytical skills and their training as future professionals committed to social transformation.<\/span><\/p>

The featured projects were:<\/span><\/p>

  • First Place \u2013 Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Advertising<\/span>
    <\/span> \u201cSustainable social marketing to improve waste management and public health in La Chorrera\u201d<\/span>
    <\/span> Adviser:<\/span> Osvaldo Blackman.<\/span>

    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Second Place \u2013 Bachelor's Degree in Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences, Planimetry Seedbed<\/span>
    <\/span> \u201cRelationship between cadaveric signs and temperature to estimate the post-mortem interval\u201d<\/span>
    <\/span> Adviser:<\/span> Mijaid Tu\u00f1\u00f3n.<\/span>

    <\/span><\/p><\/li>

  • Third Place \u2013 Bachelor's Degree in Medical Records and Health Statistics<\/span>
    <\/span> \u201cActions of affected residents in West Panama in the face of health insecurity, highlighting its consequences\u201d<\/span>

    <\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    As part of the outreach activities, we have the valuable participation of the research teacher. <\/span>Libardo Mart\u00ednez<\/span>, who presented the conference:<\/span>
    <\/span> \u201cScientific research and its transformative impact on the environment: knowledge at the service of sustainability\u201d<\/span>, providing attendees with an in-depth look at the role of science in building a more sustainable future.<\/span><\/p>

    These initiatives, developed jointly by the substantive functions of <\/span>teaching, research and extension<\/span> reinforce the star of <\/span>Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship<\/span> of our Neocyberhumanist Model, encouraging our students to become researchers capable of generating a positive impact from their professional areas.<\/span><\/p>
