Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT) and the National Commission for the Study and Prevention of Drug-Related Crimes (CONAPRED) signed an agreement <b>Framework Agreement for Cooperation<\/b>, in an official ceremony held at the facilities of the Public Ministry.<\/p><p>The purpose of this agreement is to establish the basis for technical, scientific and cultural cooperation between both institutions in areas such as:<\/p><ul><li aria-level=\"1\">Professional internships<br \/><br \/><\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Social work<br \/><br \/><\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Research activities<br \/><br \/><\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Refresher and training programs<br \/><br \/><\/li><li aria-level=\"1\">Other initiatives of common interest that contribute to the academic, institutional and social development of the country.<br \/><br \/><\/li><\/ul><p>Representing UMECIT, the Rector participated in the signing, <b>Dr. Jose Alberto Nieto Rojas<\/b>; the <b>Dr. Rosa Casta\u00f1eda<\/b>, Legal and Academic Advisor; <b>Dr. Gressy Z\u00fa\u00f1iga<\/b>, Director of Accreditation; and the <b>Master Andrea Pinz\u00f3n<\/b>, Coordinator of Agreements and Internationalization.<\/p><p>With this alliance, <b>UMECIT and CONAPRED reaffirm their commitment to comprehensive training, applied research, and the strengthening of preventive
