The event, which brought together more than 200 attendees, allowed the presentation of 13 outstanding projects developed by students from various careers such as Occupational Health and Safety, Electrical Engineering Technician, Medical Records, Social Work, Criminology, Law and Environmental Management Administration.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This event, aligned with the articulation between academia, research and institutional outreach, was a space for students to present formative research aimed at solving real problems in their communities. In this way, UMECIT&#039;s commitment to the generation of knowledge at the service of society is reaffirmed.<\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Award-winning projects:<\/span><\/h4><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1st Place: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Occupational risks faced by garbage collectors in Santiago<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presented by students of the Bachelor&#039;s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2nd Place: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Predictive data analysis in occupational health and safety<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presented by students of the Bachelor&#039;s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3rd Place: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amber Alert: Procedures and main deficiencies in Panamanian legislation<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presented by students of the Bachelor
