The activities developed not only strengthened their personal and professional training, but also provided them with key tools for their future performance as psychologists in Panama.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The certification ceremony was attended by prominent academic and institutional leaders, including Lic. Nelly Colleman, representative of Panama Lidera; the Academic Vice-Rector, Mgtr. Hermes Mauricio Sierra; the Director of Research, Innovation and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Magdy De las Salas; the Academic Director, Dr. Sandra Ramos; Dr. Marcela Arana, and Lic. Giselle Guerrero, Academic Coordinator of the Bachelor&#039;s Degree in General Psychology. Students of the program were also present, who celebrated this important achievement in their academic career.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program was not limited to leadership training, but was an opportunity for scientific development through a research project entitled \u201cImpact of leadership training and the increase of social values in general psychology students at UMECIT.\u201d The preliminary results of this study will be presented at future academic events and will be part of scientific publications that will enrich knowledge in the field of psychology.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, as part of the activities of the research groups and UMECIT&#039;s commitment to the generation of knowledge with social impact, two highly relevant projects will be developed:<\/span><\/p><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>\u00abCompetencies, self-schemas and parenting patterns and their relationship with leadership training\u00bb<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, aimed at socially at-risk schoolchildren in Panama. This project seeks to research and promote the development of leadership skills in vulnerable contexts, contributing to the prevention and overcoming of psychosocial risks.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>\u00abImpact of leadership training on the transversal personal skills of young people at social risk\u00bb<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, aimed at children from SOS Children&#039;s Villages in Panama, in collaboration with researchers from the Complutense University of Madrid. This initiative seeks to strengthen the personal and social skills of participants, contributing to their integration and social well-being.<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These projects highlight UMECIT&#039;s commitment to training that combines teaching, research and university extension, offering its students opportunities to apply knowledge in real contexts and actively contribute to the social development of the country.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With initiatives such as those <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transformation tables<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UMECIT continues to demonstrate its leadership in the training of professionals committed to social welfare, through an education that integrates transversal values and skills to face the challenges of the future.<\/span><\/p><p><br \/><br
