This achievement is due to the project presented by Dr. Giovanni Ch\u00e1vez, professor and researcher at our University.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>FabLab<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It will not only be an academic space, but also a meeting point where ideas can be transformed into realities, facilitating the creation of short-term business plans. This laboratory is designed for students and teachers to turn their concepts into tangible products, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>FabLab creation project at UMECIT<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It has a significant impact on the development of knowledge and digital manufacturing, strengthening the educational experience for both the university community and students of the <\/span><b>International Bilingual Institute of Panama -IBI-<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who will participate in this first phase.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Likewise, the FabLab will offer its services to the general public, providing a quality scientific space for <\/span><b>Research, Development and Innovation (R&amp;D&amp;I)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where products and solutions can be designed, created and manufactured.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The opening ceremony was presided over by the <\/span><b>Rector of UMECIT, Dr. Jos\u00e9 Alberto Nieto<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, accompanied by academic authorities and teachers from various faculties. Among the special guests were: <\/span><b>Dr. Alberto De Ycaza<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Director of Business Innovation at SENACYT; <\/span><b>Dr. Giovanni Chavez<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, researcher in charge of the project; <\/span><b>Lic. Patricia Acevedo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, General Director of the IBI of Panama; and the <\/span><b>Lic. Ana Maria Pepper<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from the company Grafocentro, supplier of the FabLab equipment.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This new space reaffirms UMECIT&#039;s commitment to innovation, technology and educational advancement, promoting academic and business growth in the
