This space was consolidated as a key point for the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">articulation of research and university extension, where 19 were presented\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">projects from various careers such as Preschool, Social Work, Records\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">Medical, Occupational Health, Criminalistics, Law, Maritime and Electrical.<\/span><\/p><p>The event featured the outstanding participation of Dr. H\u00e9ctor Luna, Co-Founder and Director\u00a0<span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">Research and Development LTDA, who shared his inspiring story from Brazil\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">of success. His intervention motivated the students to develop research with a\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">entrepreneurial approach, highlighting the importance of future professionals not only\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">not only investigate, but also apply their knowledge to drive solutions\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">innovative to current challenges.<\/span><\/p><p>Among the works presented, both regional and local issues were addressed.\u00a0<span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">national from different approaches. In the area of Early Childhood Education, the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">relevance of emotions in the teaching-learning process. Regarding the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">gender violence, prevention strategies were explored in vulnerable communities\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">such as Alto Ortiga. Other projects analyzed the impact of type 2 diabetes in adults\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">Seniors in Veraguas and the effects of noise on the health of equipment operators\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">heavy.<\/span><\/p><p>Technology and health were also crucial topics, with research that\u00a0<span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">They delved into the evolution of medical records and their impact on patient safety.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">health information system in Panama. Environmental challenges were also addressed<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">ow the impact of photovoltaic and geothermal energy on the future sustainability of the country,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">in addition to safety protocols to prevent oil spills.<\/span><\/p><p>Research at UMECIT continues to be a driver of transformation, addressing\u00a0<span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">real problems affecting local and regional communities. This 19th Conference is\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">a clear example of how, from the academy, solutions are generated and a fund is promoted<\/span><span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif); font-size: 1rem;\">sustainable and equitable future for Panama.<\/span><\/p><p><strong>We congratulate all participants for their dedication and contributions to science and<span style=\"background-color: initial; font-family: var(--zilom-font-sans-serif);
