Within the framework of the twentieth anniversary of the Metropolitan University of Science and Technology - UMECIT -, the Academic Vice-Rector reaffirms its commitment to educational innovation through the development of two keynote conferences that explored the most current trends in the educational field and their impact on professional development.<\/span><\/p>

The constant transformations in global education have highlighted the need to enhance teaching experiences as a fundamental strategy to establish new academic objectives and processes that enhance the capacities, abilities and skills of students. With this premise, UMECIT organized two events that brought together teachers, students and administrators with the aim of updating their skills and knowledge.<\/span><\/p>

The first conference, titled <\/span>\u201cLearning in the New Era, Challenges for the Labor Market<\/b>\u201d, was addressed to the students. The talk, given by Dr. N\u00e9stor David Restrepo, brought together 445 attendees and provided an in-depth understanding of the changing dynamics of the labor market. Dr. Restrepo equipped students with essential strategies and skills to cope and adapt to an ever-changing work environment.<\/span><\/p>

The second conference, \u201c<\/span>The New Age Academic Facilitator (Active Methodologies)\u201d<\/b>, aimed at UMECIT academic facilitators, focused on active methodologies and their impact on teaching practice. Dr. Maura Pereira, an expert in the field, shared her vast experience and knowledge, highlighting the importance of adapting teaching to technological advances and the integration of digital tools in teaching methods. This session included the participation of 160 teachers and explored how active methodologies can enrich learning, promoting a more dynamic and participatory educational environment.<\/span><\/p>

These activities not only celebrated two decades of educational excellence, but also prepared the academic community of our House of Studies for the challenges of the future. The high participation and commitment demonstrated by attendees reflect the success of these initiatives and underline the importance of continuing to develop activities that promote professional and academic growth in an increasingly complex and digitalized world. UMECIT, through the Academic Vice-Rector's Office, is committed to continuing to promote these types of events, which enrich our educational community and prepare our members for a future full of opportunities and challenges.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
