This June 4, the signing of the Framework Cooperation Agreement between the Specialized Higher Technical Institute \u2013 Short Cycle Higher Education -ITSE- and the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology -UMECIT- was carried out. This strategic alliance represents a significant moment in the strengthening of technical and university education in our region.<\/span><\/p>

What does this agreement imply?<\/b><\/h4>

The main objective of the agreement between ITSE and UMECIT is to promote academic, scientific and cultural collaboration between both institutions. Benefits include:<\/span><\/p>

  • Exchange of knowledge and experiences: Professors and students will be able to participate in academic exchange programs, conferences, workshops and seminars.<\/span><\/li>
  • Joint research: The development of research projects in areas of common interest will be promoted, promoting scientific and technological progress.<\/span><\/li>
  • Professional development: Through training and continuing education programs, the development and updating of skills of both teaching staff and students will be sought.<\/span><\/li>
  • Access to shared resources: Both institutions will make their facilities and technological resources available to maximize learning and development opportunities.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/b><\/h4>

    This agreement is also part of the commitment of both institutions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations. Special work will be done in areas such as:<\/span><\/p>

    • Quality education (SDG 4): Improving educational quality and ensuring inclusive and equitable education for all.<\/span><\/li>
    • Innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9): Promoting research and technological development.<\/span><\/li>
    • Alliances to achieve the goals (SDG 17): Strengthening strategic alliances for sustainable development.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      Extension and social responsibility<\/b><\/h4>

      In addition, university extension programs will be developed that allow greater ties with the community, promoting activities that benefit society and encourage social responsibility among students and teachers.<\/span><\/p>

      This agreement symbolizes the commitment of ITSE and UMECIT to educational excellence and the comprehensive training of their students, preparing future professionals capable of facing the challenges of the modern world.<\/span><\/p>
