On October 7, 2021, at the facilities of the Tecnology University of Panama, the signing of two acts of commitment took place with the objective of accrediting and reaccrediting universities in Panama. The event was held within the framework and compliance with Law 52 of June 26, 2015, in order to improve the quality of higher university education in the country.
The initiative is a consequence of the efforts of the Ministry of Education (MEDUCATE), the National Council for University Evaluation and Accreditation of Panama (CONEAUPA) and the National Government, to direct the different universities to a team process: collaborating with actions, technical advice, training and accompaniment, which culminates in the improvement of education in the country.
The UMECIT University carried out the institutional accreditation process when it was unprecedented. With the signing of both acts, he reiterates his commitment to the UMECISTA educational community, to the country and to the world. The decision to be part of these commitments is aimed at its philosophy, vision and mission, which unite and centralize education as the fundamental pillar of development of a society.
